YOUTH MINISTRY AT CORNERSTONE...
Our Mission:
...to reach the next generation for Christ by providing a warm, loving, Christ- centered environment where each child is accepted in their uniqueness and is pointed to Jesus. We accomplish this by clearly teaching God's authoritative, inspired Word, acknowledging Him in prayer, and celebrating Him in a worship time that glorifies Christ in a way children can relate to.
We utilize a curriculum that includes Bible reading, scripture memorization, music, games, craft projects and corporate prayer. We further desire to provide opportunities for service that will bring our children to take the focus off themselves and place it on others (ministry).
Our hope is that we can nurture a generation that truly honors Jesus Christ in every aspect of life; that reproduces disciples within their generation and passes that heritage on to the next generation (evangelism).
We truly desire to partner with parents as we work together to reach this generation for Christ. Our school-age people meet once a week. This is a time of Bible study and fellowship as they strengthen themselves in the Lord and build Godly friendships to encourage one another. Special activities are also planned periodically. A typical schedule for our youth ministry...
On Sunday morning we offer children (preschool through 4th grade) an alternative worship time, one that is aimed more to your child's grade level and needs. We do not require children to attend. If you desire, you can take them into the Sanctuary with you.
Following the worship time the children will be dismissed to their Sunday School Class. Your child will remain in their class until you pick them up.
We also offer a mid-week Youth Night for grades 5 through high school on Wednesday nights. This is a time of Bible study and fellowship as they strengthen themselves in the Lord and build Godly friendships to encourage one another. Special activities are also planned periodically. We begin at 6:45 PM and finish by 8:30 PM.
A summary of our age groups...
It is our desire to inspire, educate, and motivate our children (preschool - 4th grade) and their families to grow in their relationship with God and each other.
For the 5th through 7th graders, we are focused on bridging the gap from elementary school to high school and meeting the special interests of this age group.
Our youth ministry exists to help lead others to Christ, to Honor God through worship, to Obey the great commission, to Serve others, to Evangelize to non-believing students, and help them in a New life in Christ.
